About
Aysan Ghasempoor is a clinical psychologist, researcher and political commentator based in Germany.
She studied Clinical Psychology at the University of Tehran and completed her master's degree at Islamic Azad University. She is now a doctoral researcher at BTU Cottbus–Senftenberg, where her dissertation examines propaganda: how it shapes perception, and why some people resist it while others don't.
Her clinical training covers cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and couples and family counselling, under the supervision of Prof. Abdollah Omidi and Dr. Mehdi Akbari. Early in her career she worked on a research project diagnosing ADHD with EEG.
For ten years she worked as an organisational psychologist and senior project manager in industry, connecting technical teams with clients on international projects.
In Germany she works in psychosocial counselling with migrants and refugees at Albatros gGmbH and Internationaler Bund.
